Eligibility

• Currently registered graduate students at the University of Maryland College Park who pay student activity fees are eligible for our services. Services are provided free of charge to eligible students. We are required to confirm your student status before you use our services. Please have your student ID handy whenever you call or come in to see us.

        

• Graduate students at Shady Grove or other campuses not requiring payment of student activity fees are not eligible. We cannot provide services to alumni, staff, faculty, or other members of the campus community.

        

• Pursuant to state rules governing the practice of law, GLAO cannot get involved in cases involving conflicts or potential conflicts between graduate students. Students who have a conflict with another student should contact the Graduate Student Ombudsperson (x53132) as a first step.
