Paralegal

The Graduate Student Legal Aid Office is hiring a paralegal to work 20 hours a week in our Stamp Student Union office.  The tentative start date is August 1, 2010.  This is an hourly position with no tution remission or other benefits.  For more information, click here

Information, resources, referrals and brief advice and assistance to graduate students with legal questions, problems or disputes involving both University and off-campus matters in Maryland. 

Peer representation for students charged with academic or disciplinary violations.

Referrals to outside attorneys and organizations for matters we do not handle.

Web-based self-help materials, information, and links for the campus community.

Speakers available for campus events.

ELIGIBLITY

Services are provided free of charge to currently registered graduate students who attend the College Park campus.

We cannot serve undergraduate students, students who attend graduate or professional programs at other UM campuses, University College students, or faculty or staff.

We are required to confirm your student status before you use our services. Please have your student ID ready when you call or come in to see us.
